Greetings, Insiders! Welcome to May’s first Top Feedback Summary post! Not a lot of updates this week, but we do have a couple new items we’re adding today. Let’s jump in, shall we?
First up, PDFs continue to be a hot topic for our users and we’re adding a separate item related to writing on PDFs. Add “text notes” feature to PDF files is now in the list with the status Planned. Note that we consider this to be separate from the ability to ink on web pages.
Next, we’ve seen some varying feedback specifically around fonts and how they render. Newly added to Under Review, Some web page fonts are blurry is now something we’re tracking. This is an item that holds a few different situations under its umbrella, so expect us to provide updates on this that may only address one aspect at a time.

Do developers have a tie-up with opticians so that we worsen our eyesight every year and pay more medical bills? 🙂
To optimize workflow it would be great if Edge would recorgnize Pen or finger input to autmomatically switch from writing to scrolling in pdf files. The old edge had this functionalitiy and it was a great gamechanger in comparision to the Adobe Reader. At the moment even the canary version has either scrolling or writing with pen or finger when the Button for inking is pressed.
- What has happened to the force-dark-mode? The white background is blinding.
- #enable-force-dark doesnt work on Windows 10 anymore.

- When is summer?
Dear developers
Please make Microsoft Edge on Linux WITHOUT TELEMETRY or ALLOW USERS TO TURN OFF!!! We users do not want to send usage statistics and personal information without notice or without our explicit permission!!! We do not want Microsoft Edge to be the second Firefox or Chrome, which all enable telemetry by default.
- You can control all types of data sent in Privacy settings.
