(mac dev channel) automatic updates
hello, hope i'm putting this post in the right place.
One thing I was curious about was the behavior of automatic updates. I am unable to find any options regarding updates for this browser. It automatically updates itself which is fine I suppose, but it does this even if the browser is not open. Is there an option to wait to apply updates until I open the browser and then prompt me to restart it?
I'm assuming there's a background process running checking for the updates - anyone know what it is?

Since we are still in the preview builds on the Microsoft Edge Insider channels, there is not
a hole bunch of options yet to control browser updates.
You can go to edge://settings/system and turn off
"Continue running background apps when Microsoft Edge is closed"The Dev channel does receive updates little after the Canary channel. I would recommend letting the browsers update on their own for now though.Thanks,Frank- V-FRROME

I apologize that setting is not yet ready for the Mac version.
It would have not given you the complete control you were speaking of with the update process ( The Windows version doesn't either).
These update control features look like they will be a work in progress and might not show up till later
builds, since we are still adding and fixing stuff frequently.
Thanks for your patience,
Frank
