Edge "Save and Fill Personal Info" setting is causing a problem on our custom forms

We are currently developing many custom forms for our organization. These forms have many similar fields and they are often filled in by admins on behalf of other people. When the forms are being filled, the autofill options always appear on top of custom functionality that is built into the form. For example a people picker control may display a list of people. But the Auto Fill always pops up over the list and users do not realize that this is not part of the functionality of the form, but rather a feature of the browser. It often makes them select the wrong information. Also, when filling in other parts of the forms, this Auto fill info often fills in other sections of the form that has been intentionally left blank.

Obviously, we can suggest that employees turn this feature off. But this shouldn't be the solution.

We have yet to find a way to disable this functionality within the form itself. Edge appears to ignore the setting "autocomplete='off'" so this doesn't work.

Is there actually a way to turn this off in code just for the form?

We are having this exact issue and really annoyed that form fill is not being honored for custom fields. This should have been part of the ADMX as #1 priority.

Our clients are being offered to save sensitive data that should not be prompted to be saved from a custom form.

Update to this had a premier call and this issue is resolved in Edge version 96.0.1054.34 or greater. Edge will honor the auto fill group policy setting.
