Edge pdf text addition = massive file size increase
As of today, when I add just a small amount of text (20-30 characters) to a pdf and save, the file size increases from 66KB to 55,000KB ... never happened before. I've reported to Microsoft but they have no solutions. Any ideas to get around? Saving as a separate file has same result. Thanks

Following this thread & bumping as I have encountered the same issue and want to see Microsoft acknowledge it, some further information that might help.
- Added drawn elements do not increase the file-size exponentially.
- Text elements cause the increase, with the addition of a single text element ballooning the size from a couple hundred KB to tens of thousands of KB.
- Saving the file as a new file following any edits makes no difference.
- Printing the PDF file (Using Microsoft print to PDF) takes significant time for the preview to render & appear but once printed the file-size is not as massive, though still larger than what would it would typically be from minor text edits (a few thousand KB instead of several tens of thousands).
- Editing the document within Chrome browser & Acrobat reader did not produce the same results, works fine outside of Edge.
For comparison, I made the exact same edits within Acrobat as with Edge, original File-Size of 600KB. Edge saved to a size of 55,640KB. Print to PDF (via Edge edits) saved to file-size of 2,600KB. Acrobat saved to a size of 680KB.
Stop vibe-coding updates, Microsoft.

Having the same issue starting today.

I'm having the same issue only as of today. I added around 20 lines of text to my pdf document using the edge built-in pdf editor, and it made my PDF file size increase from 45KB to 0.6 GB
