Dev channel update to 81.0.381.0 is live
josh_bodner Did anybody notice that Edge Team added an ugly scrollbar on the new tab page while news feed is enabled.
I don't know did anybody really ask for this ugly thing! There are lot of important bugs exist for months but they are busy with making fine running things ugly. Pathetic.
Dear Edge Team, Please remove this ugly scrollbar or at least give an option to disable it on the new tab page while news feed is enabled. Otherwise we have to bid farewell to Edge and go back to Google Chrome.
Thank you.

TanvirArjel When you say 'remove the ugly scroll bar' how will those who use machines that do not have modern touch pad drivers or touch screens scroll the page without them?
I work with older people (mostly aged 60-90) and they like the scroll bars to be permanently visible - it is what they are used to - they do not have the coordination for gestures.
I am using Chromium Edge Dev Version 81.0.381.0 (Official build) Dev (64-bit) on macOS typing this and there is no scroll bar visible. Have you checked your settings?
- Drew1903Jan 12, 2020Silver ContributorWould leave many pretty much down to a mouse scroll wheel.
Some places in the OS it only appears when you poke the cursor over that way.
Cheers,
Drew

Yes someone actually asked for this scrollbar on the NTP.
it doesn't look ugly to me but that's my opinion.
- TanvirArjelJan 09, 2020Brass ContributorOkay fine! But it really looks ugly to me. Then there should be an option to enable or disable it. This would be a perfect implementation.

- kalsang dhondupJan 09, 2020Copper ContributorIts not ugly at all. It look better and modern. In fact the round corner and transparent-background-scroll bar in windows is the one feature i always wanted to have. Thanks for the new Scroll Bar in Edge but it feels not that smooth but may be next time. Keep up the good work.
