Cloudflare captcha endless loop

Just wondering if anyone is experiencing the issue on Edge Dev 158.0.4344.0 or higher where Cloudflare captcha verification is stuck in an endless loop? It still works on Edge stable.

You can check on this site:

https://debug.challenges.cloudflare.com/

The verification on Edge Dev fails with Error: 600010 (Unknown) but will pass successfully on Edge stable.

  • This has been resolved in Dev 158.0.4357.0 which was released today, thank you Microsoft! :)

The problem is not resolved for me in Prod version 156.0.4314.50, which just updated for me.

      The error is the same:

      Error Code: 600010

I'm seeing the same thing even with no extensions installed - at first I thought it may be an issue with NVIDIA cards (driver issue?), but it's also happening on my Snapdragon powered laptop with Adreno GPU so I've ruled that out:

    I’m experiencing the same issue.
    I’ve tried the following:

    1. Using incognito mode → No effect
    2. Clearing cookies → No effect
    3. Using a new profile → No effect

I have no other methods left to test.

At the end of my testing, I noticed a few issues, but I’m not sure whether they’re the root cause.

Yeah, I am not convinced it's an extension issue since I've tried it on a fresh VM with no extensions and no logged in user and it still fails on Dev but works for me on Stable (the WebGL stuff even happens on Chrome). There must be something that's changed under the hood on Dev that's causing it, but I have no clue what.

I'm having this problem in Edge Stable version 156.0.4314.42, but not in InPrivate tabs. I suspected one of my plugins, but even if I completely disable plugins for the web page I'm trying to load it doesn't work. I have to open an InPrivate window now to visit any page using this type of checkbox captcha from Cloudflare. It just started very recently so I'm guessing it corresponds to an update.

  • Your Stable-versus-Dev comparison is useful evidence of a channel-specific difference, but it does not establish the cause of Cloudflare error 600010. Keep Stable available for normal access while testing Dev. Update Dev to its latest available build, restart it, and repeat the same test on the same device and network. Then compare a new Dev profile or an InPrivate window, checking whether extensions have been allowed in InPrivate; that setting means InPrivate is not automatically an extension-free test. Record whether the result changes, without disabling browser security protections or trying to bypass the challenge. Submit feedback from the affected Dev browser through Help and feedback, including both browser versions, the error, timestamp, and reproducible steps. Also notify the site operator if the issue affects their service. I cannot confirm an official Microsoft fix or interpret this Cloudflare-specific error from the information provided.

The issue is with the turnstile test from Cloudflare themselves, and it happens on every site that uses turnstile verification. I have no clue what's causing the error - possibly some setting change within the Dev browser? I tried using dev tools to see if anything stood out, but nothing seems out of the ordinary.

Unfortunately, it happens in InPrivate with new profiles on any network, so I ruled out it being something with my config or connection. Stable channel works, so it must be a bug introduced in Dev at some point in the last couple of builds as it used to work fine.

I did indeed file feedback I am just posting it here for visibility and to see if anyone else is having issues.
