After closing Edge, it opens again automatically
Hey everyone, I've got a weird bug on the latest version of Edge Canary.
Once closed, it keeps opening itself back again for less than a second in a very tiny window on the top left of my monitor, then closes again and just loops like that.
I've not been able to see the entire name of the window, but it starts with "_crx_" so I'm guessing it's got something to do with an extension. I've got Microsoft Editor, Mendeley Web Importer and 1PasswordX installed.
It's not a big problem, but very annoying to see the window pop-open every few seconds.

Got a similar problem as yours - a tiny window starting with "_crx_" pops up when Edge starts instead of closing. To locate the source, I tried disabling my extensions one by one and figured that my problem was caused by Mendeley Web Importer - disabling it stops the popup.
Still don't know why though. Hope this helps.- Websites can ask for extensions to be installed, if you click on links that can initiate extension install.
also, programs you install in your computer can install extensions, some of those programs are download managers, antiviruses etc.Well, I know that extension. I know I installed it and I know what it does.
It's just I do not know why it causes this kind of weird behavior.
- As a temporary fix, I would suggest you to disable Startup boost because it may be the culprit.
The team has paused the rollout of Startup Boost in Stable channel because of the exact bug reproducible on your end.- That was it, didn't know it existed, way for Microsoft to hassle the user..
