Top Feedback Summary for June 23
MissyQ What happened to the ink on webpage feature?
Is that not planned anymore?
- MissyQJun 25, 2021Bronze ContributorInking on webpages was addressed back in December and should be in all of our browser channels. If you are noticing any issues with it, please do report that through the feedback tool in the browser.
A reminder, if you want to see changes to the decisions we've made, please submit feedback through the browser to let us know. The original post here details the best way to do that. And if you are curious about the plans for items we still have Discussions open for, remember to hop into those threads. 🙂
Thanks, all!

Hi MissyQ , et al,
I don't like your surfing-wave Microsoft Edge Logo because it dominated every companies website favicons I'm trying to save and all I saved now are all your own Edge Logos + links. I prefer IE which saves truly websites favicons + links ---which help us instantly locating the link by just looking at the company favicon. While now if I've saved about 10 uses Edge and all having similar face Microsoft Edge Wave Logos. All your Edge Logos are useless because I could not tell the right one--- you dominated it. It really needs time to read the text links.
I don't think you like this dominance either because all you see are tons of Edge surfing-wave logos if you've saved that much.
PLEASE revert back to the IE old method of saving websites links.
I'm sorry if you're not the right person to hear my feedback BUT PLEASE Forward it to them because this problem has never been fixed ever since.
Thank you! Sincerely & Regards,
Rino_Tan
- Rino_TanJul 14, 2021Copper ContributorHere's another example: Every good link or apps I placed on my desktop and all turns into a surfing-wave Microsoft Edge Logo or Icon. I don't believe those Microsoft Designers test their own products.

Thanks for the reply. I think you are talking about the inking on pdfs feature am I right?
I don't know any possible way to use the inking on webpages feature from legacy edge in the chromium edge.
I only know tutorials regarding the legacy edge like this one: https://www.groovypost.com/howto/use-inking-and-web-notes-in-microsoft-edge/

- MissyQJun 25, 2021Bronze ContributorNo, those are separate, but similar features. We implemented inking on PDFs in October 2019. In order to use inking on a web page, you first need to use the web capture tool. You can bring it up either via right-clicking on a web page and selecting Web capture, or using the Windows shortcut of Ctrl+Shift+S (Mac should be CMD+Shift+S).
If you are not seeing that option, then please do submit feedback so that the team is aware of the issue. 🙂
