Windows 11 Upgrade via SCCM Windows Store Apps can not upgrade
Your successful operating-system task sequence does not establish that Store applications, including Snipping Tool, were updated. Before troubleshooting those packages, verify the installed version and upgrade media: Microsoft says Windows 11 26H1 is not offered as an in-place update from 24H2 or 25H2 on existing devices. A completed task sequence therefore deserves a deployment-supportability review. For the applications, distinguish blocking the Store interface from blocking its update services. Microsoft documents that the RemoveWindowsStore policy can prevent users opening the Store without preventing app updates. Check the effective automatic-update policies and whether the firewall or proxy allows the required Microsoft Store and Windows Update endpoints. Pilot any approved policy or network correction on one device, then confirm Snipping Tool’s package version actually changes. If those endpoints are unavailable, obtain an approved application-servicing approach rather than expecting the OS upgrade package to provide current Store versions.
