For what reason can our MTC Member account be deleted?

Of course, the question is about the removal by the Admin Team,

Profile and account in MTC.

Such an explanation is important and necessary to understand what caused or why our account does not exist.

I think in the 7 years I have been here we have only ever removed an account at the request of the user, initially through a manual process but eventually we gave users the ability to close their own accounts.

Of course we ban accounts all the time, but that doesn't physically remove them. Usual reasons for a ban would be:

    • Repeated or egregious spamming of the community with content either not appropriate, unrelated or dangerous to the community, employees or the community at large.
    • Posts, content or other use of the community in ways that are contrary to our terms of service or our code of conduct

The only other type of account closures we have is a process called "Age Out" this is essentially where a registered user does not login to the community for x period of time then we send them a notice that their account will be closed in 14 days time. If they log back in within the 14 days we do not close the account.

At the moment the x in that equation is set for 7 years, although its due to decrease to 6 years by March. All that said, due to a bug we have in the system the "Age Out" process is currently suspended pending a fix to a bug we discovered last week.

    I hope this helps

Thank you, this explains why some posts are written by ( Deleted ), so it was the decision of the MTC Member, and none of the Moderators remove MTC Members.

      This is good information 🙂
