user alerts in DLP not work

Set up user alerts in DLP. Help you understand the alert for users when a DLP policy is triggered. It seems to me that the user should receive a customized notification in Outlook after attaching a forbidden file to an email. But this function does not work. How to fix it? please explain

    thank you for posting your question here. I understand you’re having an issue with the user notifications working when a user violates a DLP policy. 

    I’d be happy to try and help you troubleshoot this issue. 

    • How recently did you create the policy that should have been triggered when matched?
    • do you see the alerts for the policy violation appearing within the Purview admin portal? Can you see DLP rule matched activity under Activity Explorer?
