Snags resetting PC

I have a Windows 10 laptop that I forgot the password for. I decided to reset everything. Turning into a nightmare with microsoft being so invasive...it's UNbelieveable.

I'm selling this machine. I don't want a microsoft account. I don't want a personal account. I don't want or need a child' account. There seems to be no way to get around this.

So I did create one, intending to reset it again. An hour into it, it started the whole thing over again! Cortana telling me to do this and that from the beginning.

How can I get around this and just have a clean ready to go pc for someone else?

The best way to get a clean, account-free Windows 10 install is to do a full clean installation. During setup, disconnect from the internet to avoid Microsoft account prompts.
