Issue with the Canadian Drivers License SIT

Did any face an issue with the Canadian Driver's License SIT in the DLP policy? We see a lot of false positives especially around BC province number, NB, PrinceEdward Island and Saskatchewan. These provinces has just digits which can flag any kind of digits. Even if we use some custom RegEx and reduced keyword list, it still flags a lot of false positives.

We see this as more and more customers are not happy with it. Has anyone found a breakthrough or best solution for deploying the Canadian Driver's License DLP?

Thanks for the info. Prathista Ilango . I am using Microsoft Default SIT and it flags more than 60% false positives, which is very bad for Canadian Drivers License SIT. In other words MS default SIT's don't work properly.

The reason why I posted this message is to understand how others dealt the this particular SIT. Is there any other alternative way to capture the Canadian Driver's License number with less false positives ?

  • Hello rgadagotti,

False positives could be expected especially if the sequence is purely numeric and can resemble any random sequence.

There is a detailed guide on tips and tricks to improve the accuracy and minimize false positives here: Tips and tricks for maximizing accuracy and reducing false positive detections in MIP and DLP | Microsoft Community Hub

    Hope this helps!
