Cannot update Case number in Microsoft Purview eDiscovery
I can no longer update the Case number under case settings in the new eDiscovery UI. I used to be able to update it via the externalId Graph endpoint but that appears to be deprecated. The error simply reads "update failed" - there is no additional information. Is anyone else having this problem?

I have E-Discovery Premium, and I encounter the same error when attempting to update either the case number or case description.
However, I can change the case name, and it saves Ok.
I have found a workaround. I can change the case number if I also change the case name at the same time.
Then I can immediately change the case name back to the original name.
