Database connection

Hello, I have created a Linked Service to connect to a DB but the connection is failing due to firewall issue. I've whitelisted all the IPs for the region in which my resource is present but it's still failing and the IP in error is of another region.

Why is this happening?

    Hi,

If your linked service source database is hosted outside of Azure and you’re using an integration runtime, I recommend using the FQDN instead of IP addresses. IPs can change frequently, and Microsoft leverages Akamai for traffic management.

You can find more details here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/data-factory/create-self-hosted-integration-runtime?tabs=data-factory#ports-and-firewalls
