Thats really heavy. Have you tried to contact the new buyer of the backup domain? I mean its nearly impossible to get past microsoft. If you are a big company, you could try to get a local microsoft manager or related to make internal pressure. But they are also following a strict protocoll. Can you maybe prove that you own the credit card of payments so far? You need to pressure, its sadly "your fault", microsoft will not come proactive to you with solutions. Feel free to update, once you're having a solution
