SSMA error message when trying to migrate Northwind database

On Wednesday night, while on a seminar call, the topic was using SSMA to use SQL as a backend, the host had an issue with SSMA. When he opened SSMA and found the database he got an error message "The operating system is not presently configured to run this application". We thought it was an issue with his computer, until a few participants, including myself, trying duplicating, on our computers, what he was doing and got the same error message.
