Sequencing based on the Value

Hello,

I am trying to develop a sequence where the number resets to 1 when it encounters a new ID (Primary Mnemonic in this case).

Example:

Primary MnemonicSequence

Bill

1

Tom

1
Cheryl1
Cheryl2
Jack1
Jack2
Sam1
Sam2
Sam3
Sam4
Rob1
Jess1
Jess2

    rolo1007 Allen Browne has many foundation methods and demos, including this one  which may address your needs. Post back if you can't figure out how to apply it to YOUR specific table.

        rolo1007  Does that mean you haven't worked out the query yet? Perhaps with some actual sample data (not pseudo data created for an example), we could help you with that.
