Microsoft Access and Outlook
Your new laptop now has "New" Outlook, which no longer supports COM automation--in this case the ability to automate sending emails.
The solutions available include rolling back to "Classic" Outlook, and developing a different approach to automating the sending of emails from Access.

I don't think so George. The OP is getting a message "trying to send an email on your behalf".
That is a Classic Outlook message, and the fix is here.

I think you are right Tom. I'm struggling with this part and wondering whether you can help at all?
Set the value of the DWORD to the behavior that you want:
- DWORD: ObjectModelGuard
- Values:1 = Always warn me about suspicious activity
- 2 = Never warn me about suspicious activity (not recommend
- 0 = Warn me about suspicious activity when my antivirus software is inactive or out-of-date (recommended)
i can only put in a handful of charachters for the Value part so do i just put the value as 2?- i have tried this but it hasn't done anything at all.
I'm so sorry if its a simple answer- i'm a novice.
Thank you

Just the number.
DWORD is techy talk for "Double Word", and a Word is a 2-byte whole number value, so a DWORD is a 4-byte value (between roughly -2 billion and +2 billion.
