Please help us understand.
Does the version of M365 you installed actually include Access? Many do, but not all. Have you confirmed that Access was actually installed on your desktop?
Describe the steps by which you attempted to run one of your existing accdbs, please. Unfortunately, there are multiple ways to do that. Knowing precisely what did, or didn't occur, might point to something relevant.

I use the same 365 subscription on 3 other computers (2 Win10 pro and 1 Win11Pro) and have used them to build Access dbs for several years with no issues like this. I have updated the Bios and needed drivers before installing Access. No other Apps have been installed other than 365 Office.
Methods to open:
Open Access App and since it is a fresh install there are no recent files in history. From "New" tab I browse folders on my oneDrive. I select a db used often on my other 3 machines. Once selected from the folder (either dbl click or hit Open button) the folder/search window closes and focus goes back to the Access "open" screen with no other result. No history or open db in design screen.
From "New" tab I select new DB and a popup with path/name/create button appear. Create button results in return to "New" tab with same results as above. No difference if i rename or change the path to other than default. No difference if the selected db resides on oneDrive or local.
With Access App closed, I click on a Db file in any location. Access opens to the "Home" tab with no open files or history of recent.
There have been no error or msg popups with any of these actions. I have not tested other office apps extensively but Excel, Word, and Outlook work perfectly. All Access App options have been left in default settings. Access App resides "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\root\Office16\MSACCESS.EXE"

I would have surmised that the problem could be trying to open an accdb located in OneDrive. You indicate that the problem also occurs when you try to open accdb on a local drive on your computer.
On this new computer, have you designated Trusted Locations for the folders on your local drive which have accdbs located in them?
When you try to open a local accdb, and it fails to open, check the process running in Task Manager. Does the crash leave an open instance of Access?

I have created a trusted folder and moved a db that I use to it. When double clicked the same behavior happens. Same for searching from "open" tab in new session of Access. Same for creating new db and pointing the path to the trusted folder.
In these attempts Access shows in Task mgr open apps but no other processes I can find. If trust is an issue why does a new blank DB have the same behavior. Also, I renamed the Access.exe and copied a working exe file into the new computer at the appropriate path. No effect.
I really appreciate your help. This issue has me baffled.
