ms access doesn't open

when i am trying to use access it gives me the following message''''a problem occurred while microsoft access was communicating with the OLE server or activeX control. close ole server and start it outside microsoft access. then try original operation in microsoft access

    With a bit more detail, we might be able to offer suggestions.

     

    What does it mean to say "...use Access..."? What steps, specifically do you follow? Are you just opening the Access application by itself, or are you trying to open a specific accdb file?

     

    Thanks for giving us enough information to understand the problem.
