I, too, am still seeing this issue with Access 2511 (Build 19426.20260) x86 running on Windows 11 25H2 26200.7623, this issue also existed in previous builds as have seen it for a few months. If you open the same database on Windows 10, running this same build of Access, copy and paste of objects works as expected. This seems to be a compatibility issue with Windows 11, and Access.

Does anyone have a workaround which works (except from running on Windows 10)?

Hi,

Have you tried to disable Suggeted Actions in the Windows settings? In April 2025 mor10 reported in this thread that it cured the problem for him. See also workaround 4 in the status section of our AFo article about a potentially related problem.

  Thank you Karl, however, we are based in the United Kingdom and unfortunately as per the documentation Suggested Actions is only available in North America and looks like it is being discontinued anyway in February 2026, are you aware whether this is something the Access team at Microsoft are investigating as from the forum threads this seems to be a common issue with the later builds?
