Access Northwind Dev Ed - Error GetRandomPkValue
Just downloaded the newest MS Access and selected a new Northwind Dev Ed as the first DB to create. It fails to open due to an error in the code as it searched for a non existing function GetRandomP...
A lot of people have reported problems with the currently available template.
Others don't seem to have the same issue.
Make sure you download and instantiate the accdb in a Trusted Location.
We have asked Microsoft to replace the current version with an updated version supplied to them some time ago. I hope that occurs soon.
To answer your final question, though, of course the failure was not done on purpose.
