Windows not loading up - how to fix?

Windows no longer boots after selecting it from the list of boot options (Linux Mint is first, then Windows and then UEFI/BIOS setup). The busy spinning circle symbol just stays on the screen (and sometimes says it is starting repair) and nothing happens. We have tried restarting the laptop multiple times but the issue persists.
