Access Query Problem
Good afternoon. I have been trying to track down a very strange error that my database has thrown for the first time ever... the query performs a complex math equation based on temperature, chlorine residual and pH time to compute the amount of time required to meet disinfection. This month the temerpature of the water has been historically high and the time required historically low. See the screenshot below. The math is evaluating the time required is greater than the time achieved (which it is not). The query is pasted below. I have recreated the math in excel and cannot duplicate this error. It seems exclusive to Access. When the formula evaluates as 10.0 the results are “YES” if the formula evaluates as 9.9 the result becomes “NO” but should be yes… Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Also, this post keeps getting flagged as SPAM... This is attempt number 5.. Fingers crossed.
Msgbox or Modal window Crash on PC Sleep
This has been an issue for a couple of years, but I haven't spent too much time trying to solve it because I thought it would eventually go away. It hasn't and it is becoming worse as I develop other parts of my application. Situation: When a msgbox (or modal window) is open and the PC sleeps, the application hangs upon PC awake. There's no way to get out it with ending the process. To replicate: Create and save blank database Create one module with a single public test function Enter msgbox "Hang Test", vbOkOnly Hit F5 to run the code. The message box pops up. Leave it. Put PC to sleep manually with windows | power | sleep Awaken PC, Access is now frozen. GPT provides a lot of explanations for this behavior, but it doesn't make sense and must be something that can be addressed. Windows 11, Version 2606 (Build 20131.20126 Click-to-Run)Access 365 Issues
I’m running Windows 11 pro, dual monitors (200% laptop and 100% external). Quick repair did not work. Issue 1: When I open Access 365, the navigation bar is only about and inch wide. I can close it, but it only opens to an inch wide. How do I fix this. Issue 2: I opened the Contact template in Access then save copy. I want to customize the saved copy. The copy seems to be locked. I can’t make any edits like add fields and unfreeze pane. How can I edit copies of the templates include in my Access 365?
POWER POINT Y COPILOT
Estoy haciendo una presentación en Power Point con Copilot. Durante un rato le di ordenes de buscar fotos y subirlas en tales o cuales diapositivas y lo hizo sin problema. En un momento dado dejó de hacerlo, me dijo que había una falla generalizada en el sistema y dejó de hacerlo. En el chat de asistencia de Microsoft me dijeron que tal vez era un tema de límite de uso de IA y que tenía que pagar Premium. Lo hice y todo sigue igual desde hace 5 días. Hoy estuve 3 horas chateando con un técnico, me hizo desinstalar apps y volver a instalar pero no pasa nada. Hello! I am new to MS Access, and currently looking for some advice in working the program. In using Access, I am working with a team that has data in arts and crafts projects that fall under many different categories, which are being exported from Excel. I’ve attached an image of what this data looks like, but I’ve also explained it below. For instance, the data might be sorted into something like 5 fields, those being: project name, square inches, client name, and weight. An example would be: Project 1, 100 sq inches, Client A, 50 lbs Project 2, 200 sq inches, Client B, 100 lbs Project 3, 300 sq inches, Client C, 150 lbs Etc. Then, we’d have a second collection of data that would branch off of the first set. For instance, the data might be sorted into something like 4 fields, being: brand new design, concept design, restoration, or simple cleaning. Finally, a third set of data would branch off of this information, detailing that each of the aforementioned categories have their own data. Such as, brand new design projects use X brand of glue, Y brand of paint, and are always Z color. Whereas, simple cleaning projects might use a totally different brand of glue, paint, and color. Now, my question is, is it possible in MS Access to be presented with all of the data based on what I ask for? Such as, say, I want to view all projects that have used X brand of glue. Am I able to create a database that will pull that up? Or if I wanted to view all brands of paint used ONLY in cleaning projects? Essentially, is it possible to create a database that can show me any combination of information based on what I ask for, creating relationships with one another to search both forwards and backwards with simplicity? If so, what research should I do to approach this, or what other direction do you suggest that I go in if it is not possible? I appreciate the help :)
Access VBA performance dramatically slowed since June Update
We are running an access based application with a large vba project. One customer with four different instances of this project experience extreme slow down in performance on all instances during the last week. We made no changes. The Microsoft Office Update was applied automatically. We believe the problem happened then. We have tried reverting to several different previous versions of Office but symptoms still remain.Regression in v2606: continuous forms redraw/flicker on main form
As soon as I installed Version 2606 (Build 16.0.20131.20012), all of my continuous subforms on parent forms began constantly redrawing and flickering, making the application almost unusable. Reverting to Version 2605 (Build 16.0.20026.20140) immediately resolved the issue without any changes to the database. I have since disabled automatic updates and am remaining on Version 2605 until this issue is addressed. Has anyone else experienced this problem with Version 2606? Is this a known bug, or has Microsoft acknowledged the regression?Full account lock (Error 0x80004005) on multiple devices and networks. Automated support fails.
Greetings to the community and the Microsoft support team, I am turning to this forum because the automated support system and bots keep me in a closed loop, preventing me from reaching a human agent to resolve a critical lockout on my account. Currently, I am unable to sign in to my Xbox Live account under any circumstances. The system constantly throws the following error: Error code: 0x80004005 Message: "We couldn't sign you in to Xbox Live. Sorry, something went wrong. Try again in a while." As a technician, I have rigorously isolated the variables and can confirm the following to save time on diagnostics: It is not a local hardware failure: The exact same error replicates when trying to sign in from my Xbox console, my PC, and the mobile app. It is not a local connectivity (ISP) issue: I have tested this through my home Wi-Fi and different cellular data networks, getting the exact same access denial. All diagnostics point to the failure being directly at the server level: a token generation issue with my profile, an invisible security lock, or an internal synchronization failure. I kindly request that a Microsoft Agent or moderator send me a Private Message (DM) here so I can provide the affected email address and have this case escalated to Tier 2 support. I need the internal status of my profile to be checked. My Xbox Gamertag is: #Non9969 I look forward to your help. Thank you very much.
Text Truncation in Access Report Controls
Around May 14, 2026, we began experiencing text truncation on the right side of text box controls in Access (Office 365) reports. Approximately 2–4 characters are cut off whenever font size is below 10pt. All reports in our environment are affected and the problem was not present prior to May 14. We ruled out layout as a contributing factor by verifying page size, margins, report width, control dimensions, padding, and layering were all correctly set. No layout changes resolved the issue. The problem does not occur when font size is set to 10pt or higher, suggesting the update affected font metric calculations for small font sizes. Steps taken without resolution include adjusting all report and control sizing properties, testing multiple default printer configurations including Microsoft Print to PDF and Adobe PDF, and verifying Windows display scaling was set to 100%. If anyone has any solutions, please let me know! Thank you for your time.
