Is there a better way to search by IP address in the portal? Both Public & Private?
I know that you can list the VM's and show the ip addresses on the VM list, but short of digging through every row finding a machine by ip is a pain. Private connected networks, I can ping it with a name resolution to get the name to search for that, but on the public side I can't, or for servers in a different network I can't. We are currently researching the usage of Azure DevOps Build and Release pipelines. We did successfully create a simple Asp.NET Core web application and pushed that application into an Azure DevOps repository. We did successfully create a pipeline for that application consisting of Restore, Build, Test, Publish, and Publish Artifacts (as shown on the attached image) and successfully built that pipeline. In the Azure Portal, we did successfully create a Resource Group and the Web App to host the web application In the Azure DevOps, we did successfully create a release for that application and did successfully publish the application to the created Web App However, in the Azure Portal, in the newly created Web App configuration section, there are no config values transferred from the application's appsettings.json. I did try to use 'Link settings' feature on the Publish segment of the pipeline, but that didn't work Thus, the question is how do I transfer the config values of the ASP.NET Core Web application into an Azure Portal Web App through an Azure DevOps pipeline and release?MikhailPodolskiApr 15, 2020Brass Contributor14KViews0likes1CommentWhat's the best way to report a bug?
I believe I have found a bug in the Azure Portal UI but how do I report this without incurring the cost of opening a support ticket? The issue is that I have created a couple of static websites in Blob Storage. I created a CDN Endpoint and assigned a custom domain. When I do this I should see a list of Endpoints under Azure CDN Endpoints but I don't. The only way to find it is to go to CDN Profiles where I find the endpoints listed.Paul ShadwellFeb 20, 2020Brass Contributor12KViews0likes7CommentsLogic App Contributor Role in Azure
Hi there, I'm unable to find the Logic Apps Contributor role when I try to assign a role to someone in a particular Log Analytic Workspace. Can someone let me know if there are any prerequisites in adding that role assignment? Just so you know, I'm the global administrator in this Azure subscription and also have registered the Microsoft.Logic Resource Provider. Hi, I have "CIS Microsoft Azure Foundations Benchmark 1.1.0" assigned to my subscription and the policy "An activity log alert should exist for specific Policy operations" is non-compliant even though I created necessary alert rules. I noticed that the category for the necessary alert rules (allowed values in the policiy definition) is "Administrative" rather than "Policy" which is indicated in the policy rules. When I duplicate the policy and change the category into "Administrative" it becomes compliant but the built-in policy is not effected from this and the whole initiative stay non-compliant which also effects my compliance level for industry standards. What can I do to make this policy and initiative to be compliant and getting compliant with industry standards? Or should it be updated by the relevant team? { "properties":{ "displayName":"AnactivitylogalertshouldexistforspecificPolicyoperations", "policyType":"BuiltIn", "mode":"All", "description":"ThispolicyauditsspecificPolicyoperationswithnoactivitylogalertsconfigured.", "metadata":{ "version":"2.0.0", "category":"Monitoring" }, "parameters":{ "effect":{ "type":"String", "metadata":{ "displayName":"Effect", "description":"Enableordisabletheexecutionofthepolicy" }, "allowedValues":[ "AuditIfNotExists", "Disabled" ], "defaultValue":"AuditIfNotExists" }, "operationName":{ "type":"String", "metadata":{ "displayName":"OperationName", "description":"PolicyOperationnameforwhichactivitylogalertshouldexist" }, "allowedValues":[ "Microsoft.Authorization/policyAssignments/write", "Microsoft.Authorization/policyAssignments/delete" ] } }, "policyRule":{ "if":{ "allOf":[ { "field":"type", "equals":"Microsoft.Resources/subscriptions" } ] }, "then":{ "effect":"[parameters('effect')]", "details":{ "type":"Microsoft.Insights/ActivityLogAlerts", "existenceCondition":{ "allOf":[ { "field":"Microsoft.Insights/ActivityLogAlerts/enabled", "equals":"true" }, { "count":{ "field":"Microsoft.Insights/ActivityLogAlerts/condition.allOf[*]", "where":{ "anyOf":[ { "allOf":[ { "field":"Microsoft.Insights/ActivityLogAlerts/condition.allOf[*].field", "equals":"category" }, { "field":"Microsoft.Insights/ActivityLogAlerts/condition.allOf[*].equals", "equals":"Policy" } ] }, { "allOf":[ { "field":"Microsoft.Insights/ActivityLogAlerts/condition.allOf[*].field", "equals":"operationName" }, { "field":"Microsoft.Insights/ActivityLogAlerts/condition.allOf[*].equals", "equals":"[parameters('operationName')]" } ] } ] } }, "equals":2 }, { "not":{ "field":"Microsoft.Insights/ActivityLogAlerts/condition.allOf[*].field", "equals":"category" } }, { "not":{ "field":"Microsoft.Insights/ActivityLogAlerts/condition.allOf[*].field", "equals":"operationName" } } ] } } } } }, "id":"/providers/Microsoft.Authorization/policyDefinitions/c5447c04-a4d7-4ba8-a263-c9ee321a6858", "type":"Microsoft.Authorization/policyDefinitions", "name":"c5447c04-a4d7-4ba8-a263-c9ee321a6858" } Kind regards, SahinSahinsOct 23, 2020Copper Contributor8.3KViews1like1CommentAzure Policy - Find Ressources without Tags

Let sat there are two global administrators in an azure AD called original.org. Admin 1 and Admin 2 are global administratorsin orignal.org. Admin 1 creates a new Azure AD tenant called dev.org,... Does Admin 2 have any ability to create users in dev.org? I am confused because global admin can give themselves user access administrator role and make themselves owners,... Cannot this owner have access to any new tenant created from the root tenant? This seems to conflict with an understanding that a global administrator who creates a new Azure AD tenant is the first user and other users such as Admin 2 would have to be invited?DKMar 03, 2023Copper Contributor6.2KViews0likes3CommentsAZure AD Sync Error for Distribution Group
