Thanks for the post Erin. I wish I had read https://www.brentozar.com/archive/2024/03/read-this-before-your-users-install-ssms-20/ before installing SSMS 20.1 and spending a couple hours updating the servers in Central Management Server to trust the server certificate only to find out that "trust server certificate" isn't sticky in CMS. This "feature" effectively breaks SSMS for my team as we use CMS collaboratively and often run multi-server queries. I cannot take hours out of my day every time I open SSMS to re-check those boxes across several hundred servers. For now I think my only choice is to uninstall SSMS 20.1 and revert to another version. Until MS addresses this issue I cannot see myself using SSMS 20.x.
On a similar line, connection property options like custom color would be quite nice to be able to configure and stick in SSMS.
