@DavidYorkshire WSUS is interesting - semantics are important. For those who are not aware (simply because I never want to assume with acronyms), WSUS stands for Windows Server Update Services. When we have an update to SSMS, we work with the WSUS team so that it goes out to the service and the catalog. From the WSUS admin console, you can access the Microsoft Update catalog site and search for SQL Server Management Studio (Microsoft Update Catalog). Pro Tip: SSMS yields no results. In the list, you'll notice that there are no "initial releases" of SSMS - no 20.0, 19.0, 18.0 or 17.0. That's because WSUS and the catalog are for updates. So only when we have an update to SSMS 20 will you see that update appear in WSUS and the catalog. Funny enough, SSMS 20.1 released today, so you'll see that in the catalog next Tuesday (April 16)...we don't send anything to WSUS until we release, which is why it doesn't show up today. Hope that helps!
