With regards to Microsoft Archive - we still see a lot of gaps that are currently not even on the 2+ year roadmap according to the Microsoft Archive team. The key issues we see are:
- Nothing on the roadmap (not even discussions) around the ability to archive a Viva Engage community. If you archive the SharePoint site associated with it, you're just left with a broken Engage community that shows up within all the active communities.
- Nothing on the roadmap to fix the piecemeal approach to archiving Microsoft Teams. Currently you need to:
- Use Microsoft Archive to archive the SharePoint site
- Go into the Microsoft Team and archive it
- For any Private and/or Shared Channel sites - use PowerShell to archive these (not even sure if this is possible - but what Microsoft told us).
- The new introduction of a 4-month limit to re-archive a reactivated site is a deal breaker for us. I have no idea how Microsoft thinks this is something acceptable for their customers.
Note: for all my feedback here, I'm keen to catch up with someone from Microsoft to discuss further. We have issues with most of the features, etc. that have rolled out over the last 1 1/2 years.
