Sorry for all my feedback across a lot of the Microsoft announcements lately - we've tried to get some traction a multitude of other ways/channels but never get anywhere.
Quote in this announcement: "The SharePoint Brand Center allows brand managers to host, manage and control their brand identity across M365 from a single source."
With regards to the SharePoint Branding. We've been trying desperately to get the Site branding disabled in our tenant as it goes completely against our overarching Corporate Brand Strategy. Microsoft have been saying you can use the Brand Center to centrally manage your corporate brand and themes but then add a feature (which CAN'T be disabled) that allows everyone in the tenant to create whatever theme they like (the opposite of centrally managed).
Can you please escalate this request? All we are asking for is an on/off switch - this can't be that hard for Microsoft to provide their customers. We are currently having to communicate to our 65k+ users that they shouldn't use the Site branding, then run a script weekly across our 110k+ sites to find any that have site level branding applied, reach out to the owners to say they will be removed, then process to go in and actually remove. This is not ideal for anyone - but our only option until Microsoft gives us the ability to disable it - not a big ask.
