We appreciate the advance notice on the SharePoint Alerts retirement and understand the ongoing modernization efforts across Microsoft 365.
That said, in working with many organizations over the past several months, we’ve seen that the impact is more significant than it may initially appear — particularly for tenants with large numbers of classic sites, decentralized site owners, event calendars, and users relying on daily or weekly summary alerts.
While Power Automate and Rules provide automation capabilities, they do not fully replicate the simplicity and self-service nature of the original “Alert Me” experience — especially at enterprise scale or in environments where broad Flow adoption has not occurred.
Because of this gap, our team has been working to build an affordable replacement that restores alert functionality across both classic and modern experiences without requiring end users to create flows.
We’ve had many conversations with customers navigating this transition and would be happy to share practical lessons learned if helpful to the community.
Thank you again for the transparency and timeline.
