MicrosoftI have to agree with most of the comments on here. Rules/Power Irritate just isn't going to work here as-is. We have hundreds of lists with hundreds of users (with mostly view access) who are largely using daily summaries to view changes. We are a small quasi-government organization (made up of several external parties) that is operating a river system in an eco-friendly way (with a limited budget) and do not have the money or the time to replace this functionality with multiple licenses and difficult workflows. I am beyond frustrated (and am trying my best to stay professional in my venting here). I hope that others who are in similar boats will also take the time to let SharePoint product team and Microsoft know that it is simply unacceptable to remove working functionality with more costly features that simply do not get the job done and try to pawn it off as being "more modern".
