So neither Power Automate nor Rules are options that will work for our company.
I see it exactly the same way. Another thing to remember is that only 15 rules can be created per list or library. We have lists and libraries with hundreds of users who have set up a alert!
The functional scope of alerts is also completely different. Alerts in the view scope, for individual elements, time control, etc.
