I fully understand that Microsoft will deactivate technologies that are no longer state of the art. As an ISV, we understand and support the need to keep up with technological developments.
However, we are facing a challenge: For over a year we have been working closely with your FastTrack team to switch from Remote Event Receivers to SharePoint Web Hooks. We want to and will make the switch. However, we need sufficient time to customize our solutions and update our customer installations.
Given the planned timeframe for deactivation, we fear that this will not only significantly affect us as an ISV, but also many of our customers. We believe that a direct dialog with the decision makers at Microsoft would be helpful to discuss our concerns and specific challenges. Our goal is to find a solution that is in the best interest of both Microsoft and our customers.
We would be very grateful for the opportunity to discuss this issue further and work together to find constructive solutions. Your support in this process would be very valuable.
