Hi BertJansen, thank you for the new FAQ document.
I am surprised about the RER part: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint/dev/sp-add-ins/add-ins-and-azure-acs-retirements-faq#will-remote-event-receivers-also-retire-as-part-these-retirements. How are RERs dependant on ACS? When our solution switched away from the old SharePoint AppOnly model to only use Azure AD Apps to talk to SharePoint Only, we still receive events in our backend, where those RERs have been created with AzureAD App Auth. There is no ACS involved in our integration. Is ACS really a technical requirement for RERs?
At least the timeframe with April 2026 leaves some space to search for alternatives, in cases the Web Hook calls take too long for our scenarios.
What about new tenants from 1st November 2024 and RERs firing?
Is that date when SharePoint Add-ins will not be available for new tenants also relevant for RERs, or is April 2026 the only limit for RERs?
