At the same time, please share everything under C:\Users\%user name%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\MigrationTool\admin@XXXX.onmicrosoft.com\WF_XXXXX folder to Migration dev servicing migration_team@microsoft.com? It will include reports and logs.

I am using the version 2.1.103.11 SharePoint Migration Tool to migrate my site from SharePoint 2013 to SharePoint Online. I am facing different error that hope you can help me to fix the issues:

1. Cannot access root folder
2. The selected source list has different template than the target one
3. Unexpected internal error
4. Cannot fetch SharePoint on premise list
5. There are invalid system preserved role definitions

This is a big help. I was able to change the default path (temp) to use a larger repository location instead.

By default, the working folder is %appdata%\Microsoft\MigrationToolStorage. Please make sure that your working folder has a minimum of 150 GB of free space. It may need more depending on the size of the data you plan to migrate.  Please check if the working folder have enough space for migration.

Has anyone come across the following error when uploading data from a on premise file server:-

There was a problem during the Migrations

Disk space was not enough

Everything looks to be in order and when I went though the logs, there was no real information to the source of my issue.

I have been using the tool to migrate data in shared folders on our local file server in to Microsoft Teams document libraries on Sharepoint Online:

1. Its not always easy to know the URL of the relevant Teams library (I used Powershell Get-SPOSite to obtain all the URLs) and I still havent worked out the correct URL for the general channel documents library (so everything ends up in the shared library and I move things afterwards - not very efficient!)

2. I'm logging in to the tool with my own account (Office 365 global admin) but must be an owner of the Team to access the document library with the tool (there must be another way i.e. add an admin account as owner of all the Teams?)

3. Once migrated only owners of the Team can access the files (why do the standard Team member edit permissions not apply?). How do I migrate the files so that they just receive the standard MIcrosoft Teams permissions of the document library? How do I change the permissions for those folders I have now migrated, instead of making everyone an owner like I do now as a workaround.

I am trying to migrate document with SPMT with File Share option. I am migration data from my hard disk. I am facing one issue. After migrating files, It is showing desktop user name in library instead of any SharePoint user. Please see attached image :

Can we change this to current SharePoint Online logged in user?
