Introducing SharePoint News and Viva Engage cross-posting
This feature just dropped today in our Tennant, but we are unable to use it as while cross posting getting this error "Couldn't distribute to Engage" Ask a site owner to allow members to share content in site permissions and then try again". But we already have the appropriate permissions. I am the site owner and News post publisher. Can you please check why ?

Microsoft
sayan_K, this error message will be shown only to site members on sites that has sharing permission set to owners only. Site owners will be able to cross-post the news post successfully. Can you please check again if you are the site owner, we will also check on our end to ensure there is no bug in the experience.

ReetikChandra Thanks for your prompt reply. I rechecked the Site Sharing Settings -> Sharing Permission -> It's set at "Site owners & members can share files folders and site". I tinkered with it still unable to cross post. Yes, i am the owner of the site as well as the engage community where i am cross posting. Tried this with multiple members of our team with different sites and engage community/storyline. None were successful & got the same error every time. Interestingly I had a news post with more than 16 images, there i got an error that the image count has to be less than 16. So, i reduces the images then while posting i got the "Couldn't Distribute to Engage" error again. If you want i can share mode details in email my email is mailto:email address removed for privacy reasons. Eagerly waiting for this feature to work.
