Hi! This seems like a good improvement, but I have a couple of questions related to the current (SP native) commenting solution vs. this one:

  • Will the new "Publish in Engage" panel replace the current "Send news via email" popup?
  • If you do not post the news item to Engage, will the SharePoint native commenting option be available on that particular news item?
  • Will this functionality be rolled out to all tenants without an opt-out possibility? Or a possibility to take it into use once it's been well communicated for tenant's users?

    Thanks for the questions. The new “Publish in Engage” panel will not replace the “Send news via email” popup. If you don’t post a news item to Engage, SharePoint’s native comments will remain available on that item. Engage comments are used only when the news item is posted to Engage. There will not be an opt-out option for this functionality.
