MicrosoftHi Sara_Cummings, I'm all with the previous comment: in the roadmap/Message center post on the updated SharePoint news templates it says "This feature is on by default and accessible to all SharePoint authors. ". What if our customers want the default option to just be Publish instead of Publish and send? How do we opt out of this default feature? Also I would like to point out that this feature has been published August 2nd 2024 in the M365 Admin Center's Message center and the rollout is supposed to begin at the end of August (ok, this indeed is now). However, our customers have been pretty surprised by the fast rollout. I have several customer who operate in a regular tenant (not TArgeted Release) and this suprise feature is already rolled out in their tenants. Not good! With all the summer holidays still having effect on schedules, this rollout has been executed far too soon after the message center announcement.
Please offer an opt-out possibility for this Publish and Send button!!!
