Read through this thread and based on the replies of Sara_Cummings I have found that:
- A "From" field is not planned to be implemented in the "Send as email" GUI
- Views will not be counted if the email gets forwarded
Our communication team now has a catch-22 situation due to this - their usual email communication is sent out using shared mailboxes, not colleagues' personal email addresses. Now they use the "Send as email" feature as well, but then their views are not counted since they are basically doing a workaround of sending the SP page from their personal accounts to the generic shared account, and then from Outlook, they send it from that shared mailbox to a larger community. As an alternative, they could log directly into the shared mailbox but due to the security best-practices and the licensing of these mailboxes, that's not an option anymore.
What could you recommend for this scenario so that views still would get counted and the SP news page wouldn't be sent out from a personal account?
