Thanks for the feedback Matt_Batchelor,
1. Forwarding the email doesn't cause any information loss, but may result in some aspects of the page looking a little bit different. Additionally views on a forwarded mail will not be recorded.
2. Made for email templates will work just like any other news distribution, and show up in the content rollups and news digests after being published. Could you tell me more about why you might expect it to be filtered out?
3. You can save these news templates as custom templates just like you would create any other news template, and then they will show on "saved on my site" and retain the made for email webparts and functionality. I'm not sure what you mean by copying this news template to other collections- would you be wanting to use it as a page template as well?
4. When you ask about adding existing posts to the email newsletter- would you be looking to render multiple news posts in this format back to back?
5. The SharePoint logo in the header is actually a hidden link for accessibility. It allows screen reader users to have the link to the original page be the first part that they access, since mail distributions can be challenging for screen readers to interpret. That being said, we are exploring other options for what to do with the header region of these distributions. What would you like to see?
6. You cannot remove the poster's identity with this experience any more than you could take a regular news post and make it author-less. For control over the showing or hiding of the author, you'd want to look into our more advanced corporate communications product, Viva Amplify, which is releasing soon.
