The new Microsoft Planner for the web is available in Targeted release!

We're excited to announce that the new Microsoft Planner for the web is now available for Targeted release tenants! If you're enrolled in Targeted release, you can start using the new Planner experience and sharing feedback with our team.
 
This is a big milestone in our continued rollout of the new Planner, which we first announced at Microsoft Ignite last November and brought to users in Teams this past April. For more information on about the new Planner for the web, please review our Get ready for the new Microsoft Planner for the web blog post last month.
 
 

Get started and provide feedback

You can get started using the new Planner for the web by visiting https://planner.cloud.microsoft - where you can manage all your work across Microsoft To Do, Microsoft Planner, and Microsoft Project in one place, infused with the intelligence of Microsoft 365 Copilot for Planner (preview).

Provide feedback on the new Planner for the web to our team by using the Feedback button in the top right corner of the app.
 

 

Please note that Planner only supports Targeted release for entire organizations, we currently don’t support Targeted release for selected users.
 
If you’d like to learn more about joining Targeted release to get early access to the new Planner for the web, reach out to your IT admin about enrolling your organization.

    Where is the Planner Hub? How feature like that, allowing to have top down graphival view on multiple plans, could be removed? This is hilarious and ubelievable :-(

    How can i activate again the Board view for all my plan? it is not possible anylonger with the new release. It is a sham that was our main working instrument. Can I go back to an old version, is that even possible. Like this the planner is not really useful. In the vue My day it doesn^t even show the overdue tasks. I have to click in every single plan to see my tasks.

    Why has Microsoft removed the backround image options in the new Planner? 
    Organizations with many teams and Planner boards used the background image feature as a great yet simple way to differentiate one Planner board from others.
    Also, the new white/dark themes (without any other background options) make most boards hardly readable.
    I really see no point in removing this widely-used feature. 
    Please MS solve this ASAP.

    What about the API for new Premium Plans. I can read (GET) the API, but I cannot update or create (POST/PATCH) anything on a Premium Plan. This also affects Power-Automate. All automations BREAK, the moment I upgrade a plan to Premium.

     

    When will the Graph API be updated to support the new Premium Plans?

    It seems like I can no longer copy whole plans (just individual tasks), delete plans (just hide them in the list, which doesn't actually hide them, it just sends them to the bottom of the list and makes them a different color? which arguably just makes them more noticable, not hidden), or attach files directly to items via onedrive integration or uploading (just via hyperlink, which adds extra steps and more opportunities for error). Are these features just gone? Moved? Behind an additional cost barrier (we are a huge organization so I have no idea what our degree of premium feature access is and no ability to change it)?

    Real loss hiding basic features like subtasks behind 'premium' licensing. UI update is... whatever.

    Unfortunately, the fact that we don't have a Calendar view for My Tasks, makes this version almost unusable for me. The other aspects of this change are nice.

    Can you plan "restore deleted bucket" funciton in your future development?  also allow us to grant user "view only" access to members. Much thanks

    @chtranMSFT - Good news, however I have been asking over the last month, why must Planner currently only support Targeted release for entire organizations, we currently don’t support Targeted release for selected users???? I mean not all Orginzations want to make everyone Targeted release users. As the SME's want to teste this first as Targeted Release users. I don't understand the logic. Unless its technical related again as was with Planner in Team ins April 2024.
