I heard back from the Ignite team and this is what they shared:

Once requested, a hotel reservation will go through several different statuses. Below is a definition of the various statuses:
- Processing Reservation Request (Pending): Your hotel reservation has been received by the Microsoft Ignite support team.
- Awaiting Confirmation Number (Sent): Your hotel reservation has been sent to the hotel for confirmation.
- Confirmed: Your hotel has been assigned a reservation confirmation number.
This process generally takes 10 – 14 business days to complete. Once a hotel reservation is requested, the room is held for the attendee; it may take up to 14 days for the hotel to assign a confirmation number.
If it has been longer than 14 days and the attendee has not received a hotel confirmation, they can reach out to us so we can follow up with the hotel on their behalf.
Since it has been over 14 days since you submitted your hotel request you should reach out to the Ignite team and have them help you.
