Appreciate all the comments I have read through on this topic. Came in and booted up today only to find my Outlook "Search" has now been moved to the top. I am a typical heavy user of Outlook at our business and have been for years. Quite honestly I am still struggling with what MS was out to solve in this move. I feel like a 3rd party search app has been added to Outlook and there is no alternative to use the old. Give users options instead of forcing this type of change. I use search in mail for one thing and one thing only; searching may mailbox. I don't need help on any other topic within Outlook and even if I did a quick browser search is my best friend.
Call me old school, but today I purchased an Excel Classic Menu add in to help me get away the cumbersome menu ribbons that have plagued me for years now. How refreshing it was to intuitively click on a drop down menu with one one to two clicks vs clicking back and for between ribbons just to do something as simple as set a print range and then preview.
At the end of the day, I am all about progress, provided it is more efficient and helps me do my job better.
