Hello and "help"!! What happened to my regular email? I understood how to use that. For those of us struggling to just do the basics, I was comfortable with how things were, but now I don't know what is going on or how to even view my emails. I have several Gmail accounts (and I don't know "why" I made so many accounts but it seems too difficult to go through the process of moving/deleting any of them), a Yahoo account, an iCloud and an att account which I could view in an "all accounts" view or individually>>in my "regular windows email app<<. I've never learned how to use and view "all" of my various email accounts in the web version of Gmail or yahoo. I don't even know if there is a way or another app where I can have all of these accounts in one place the way I did PRIOR to whatever change seems to have taken place.
I realize that the number of us "computer illiterates" is relatively small, and I more than realize that in our society elders hold little importance, for the most part, we are shuffled to the side and ignored. Our active participation in society and business enterprises no longer exists as it once did, our voices have dimmed significantly and for most of us, the vigor of youth has left to be replaced with a knowledge and wisdom that those who hold such vigor are not interested in. Our struggles are our struggles(alone), our inability to find simple solutions to a technology that for some of us simply is not second nature is futile. As easily as the genius technological wizards will bury their family elders ("they're old it's their time") so do they bury their older users at the bottom of their piles of concerns. Why? Because soon enough we will all be gone, problem solved.
In the meantime, those like me will spend far too much of our (apparently limited time) trying to unlearn what we had become somewhat knowledgeable in and try to understand what for us is neither simple nor apparent. As I doubt anyone will volunteer to "teach" me how to make this transition, how to use, find, read, etc my extensively large accumulation of emails MAYBE someone will know of a "Transitioning to Outlook from Windows Mail for Seniors for Dummies" comprehensive tutorial????
*BTW if I sound angry and/or bitter I am. Aging is not easy and I swear, most out there are so ignorant as to the aging process and difficulties that they seem intent on making it even more difficult. Pisses me off!😡😉
