New Outlook app suck hard. It's adware but not software.
For the first it choose incorrect mail servers for my private IMAP account, so I need to fix them manually. Then it shows some strange errors, but after third attempt my email account was added. I really don't understand why new Outlook app ignores all autodiscover and autoconfig settings in the domain.
This looks strange, because after setting account in the old Mail app everything is working fine and after adding to Mail my account appears in new Outlook as well.
But the most strange thing is showing adds on top of Inbox.
It's quite ridiculous. Is the company not getting enough money for their software and services?
I guess the only reason to make a new Outlook app is to promote Microsoft 365 and annoy people by ads.
Is there any way to remove Outlook app completely from the computer?
I would prefer to stay on the old Mail app and Thunderbird. Actually there are a lot another third-party free and paid email software without ads and with proper IMAP support.
