Great tutorial Jeffrey! One additional tip for those trying to add an iCloud account to New Outlook: If you have a personal or business Microsoft account with an email that matches your iCloud login, you might have some difficulties as New Outlook will set up a Microsoft account first. You can log into your Apple account and add an alias or find your original iCloud account (icloud.com) email and log in with that account in New Outlook. Until New Outlook has the service providers option listed at the beginning of the "add account" wizard, this has been a workaround for my iCloud accounts to get their iCloud added to New Outlook.
This is also a common issue for clients using their cable company emails, any IMAP email, earthlink, etc. You also might need to use the original iCloud account if you are having issues. I am seeing changes in the "add account" area offering new advanced set up so this not so much an issue lately.
