All these features are certainly nice, but we face more important issues in our day-to-day use of Teams, even when compared with Skype for Business.
Sometimes the blurred background doesn't really clear the messy background, what happened to the custom backgrounds feature that was shown in the 2nd anniversary update? Also, it should remember if the last time I used blur and keep it on each time by default.
We have group training sessions with more than 200 people, some join with delay and forget to mute themselves. It is quite frustrating to have to interrupt the presentation in order to mute all each time a new person joins. For such events there should be an option to mute on join, as there is currently in Skype.
The Join now from the Outlook calendar reminder should directly open the app (like Skype does) instead of opening a browser. This is quite frustrating now that the new Edge will ask each time if I want to open the link. Teams link in Microsoft Edge
The Meeting options should be able to be changed within Outlook, instead of opening a web site. There should be the option to set defaults so that I don't have to check the options each time.
Points 2, 3, and 4 are big productivity killers, especially when jumping from meeting to meeting.
Marissa Salazar, please don't get me wrong, I like Teams, and think it is better than Skype for Business in terms of quality. But adding new "nice to have" features does not compensate for removing useful features from an old application.
I do hope this feedback gets heard and we see some of these items fixed or added in future releases.
