MicrosoftWe are seeing fairly frequent though by no means universal issues with presence and presence integration between Outlook and New Teams. Manifests as one or both of always appearing offline to other Teams users in their teams, and / or not seeing anyone else's presence indicators in outlook. That's outlook 365, with on prem exchange mailboxes, not exchange online.
No matter what we try nothing seems to fix it. Not reregistering as chat app, not fiddling with the relevant area of the registry. It's extremely annoying, seemingly random, seemingly common going by multiple reddit threads easily locatable via google, seemingly known to MS, but i haven't seen anything official about it. There is one frankly daft notation in one of the Teams articles that says that "presence delays of up to 1 hour for users with on-prem mailboxes is expected" which is unacceptable but isn't the current issue - it's not a delay, it's a total and ongoing absence.
What's the official word?
