What I would prefer to read as something new in Teams is that Microsoft have realised that their User Voice system is not fit for purpose and that functionality in some basic areas is still completely missing - despite being requested (and even in progress) years ago.
For instance, how difficult can it be to allow a user to sort files and folders to their wishes - something that’s been around since Windows 3.1! Why did nobody think that users would like to change channels from Public to Private or vice versa. Why if you want to rename a Team didn’t they think of it propagating to Sharepoint? Why did we need a General channel for every team? Did they really think when designing the Desktop app that users would want to log out and back in again to switch account?
After so many years using Microsoft it beggars belief that the company can still not realise that it’s the ORDINARY users that matter....not computer geeks or the marketing department.
ASK people what they want, list what’s in the pipeline for new stuff, list bugs and idiot choices that are being sorted, and keep us informed.
